The view from our lanai...

We have finished remodeling!

Our condo is the upper unit in this picture. The main lanai you see is off the living room. The master bedroom lanai is hidden by the tree.

A close-up of the living room lanai. There are shades that can be pulled down on the lanai to block the afternoon sun.

Lower Pool- about a 3 minute walk from the condo.

Upper Pool- this is the pool we usually frequent and is about a 2 minute walk from the condo.

Upper Floor end corner unit with beautiful ocean views..

Our condo is the upper left corner end unit. Because we're on the second floor, we've got incredible ocean views. Our condo sits up higher than many other condos in Ekolu, which makes the view that much better.

The 'ikena or nanaina (view).  We have tried to capture the view by stiching together multiple photos the best we could.  Some units provide you one shot that is zoomed in and commonly does not even fill up one picture or is looking around the lanai .  Not the case here, this view takes up a full 5 to 6 frames.  We are just sorry we cannot reproduce its affect as you move through the unit or walk onto the lanai.  Hope to have a virtual tour soon! But still there is nothing like being there.

The living room lanai is our favorite spot in the condo!

We found a wonderfull full-sized bamboo couch for the lanai. It's big enough to stretch out on to read a book and is really really comfortable. There is also a table and 4 nice big bamboo chairs for dining on the lanai, and an electric grill.

Spectacular sunsets!

They are different every night and nothing short of spectacular.

Our condo looks directly over the Grand Wailea Hotel, which oftentimes has fireworks for special occasions. If you're lucky, you can sit on the lanai and catch a fireworks show!

Floor plan has both bedrooms on opposite ends of the condo to maximize privacy.

We liked the floor plan of this condo when we bought it because both bedrooms have an attached bathroom, and because the bedrooms are on opposite ends of the condo to maximize privacy.

...The OLD Kitchen BEFORE our remodel.

This is a picture of the OLD kitchen as it looked when we first bought the condo. The cabinets were in good shape and made of a beautiful, high quality wood, so we decided to refinish the cabinets instead of replacing them.

Dave removed all the cabinet doors and sanded each one by hand. He also sanded all the frames. Each cabinet has now been stained with a beautiful dark cherry stain and has a high gloss finish.

We've removed all the old countertops and have put in new granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. The floors have also been replaced with new ceramic and travertine tile.

  Beautiful view from the kitchen.

All new furniture has been purchased for the living room.

This includes two light seagrass chairs with custom-made cushion covers and a queen sleeper sofa in a light brown color. There is a large TV and a DVD player. There are also several movies and games.

The dining table is a large square table that can comfortably seat 8.

The Master Bedroom

There is a California King bed in the Master bedroom fitted with new linens (500 count Pima cotton sheets) and there is a fluffy white down comforter on the bed (not that you need it in Maui, but it sure feels nice!).

This bedroom is furnished with a TV and DVD player.

...A Second Master or Room for the Kids

The 2nd bedroom has a brand new queen-sized bed and also a pull-out sleeper sofa which is perfect for the kids (our 2-year old loves it!).

In this room there are also 500 count Pima cotton sheets and a fluffy down comforter for the bed. There is also a TV and DVD player.

No Wonder Maui is Consistently Rated the World's #1 Island...

These are some pictures we took from the airplane on one of our trips to Maui.

Windsurfing Heaven...

Maui has excellent windsurfing and Dave spends as much time on the water as he can (that's him in the foreground of the picture). You are 15 minutes from Dave's favorite sailing in Kihei or 25 minutes from the consistent winds at Kanaha (shown here).

Post Card Beaches, Only Minutes Away...

Within minutes from the condo are beaches for everyone. Surfing in Kihei, snorkeling with turtles, boogie boarding, family fun at Wailea Beach, or for the more adventurous all-natural at Small Beach. We all love the Big Beach in Makena State Park the best!!!
